CEO
Wayne Reagan, Chief Executive Officer
Early on in his career, before he had any discernable skills, he was told he would never make it in pure sciences, but he would change the world nonetheless. Thus began a life long passion in the study of talent and the skills that define talent. With a thorough grounding in medieval history at Princeton and Far Eastern history at the University of Arkansas, Wayne set off to build a retained executive search practice with the knowledge gained from the history of human organizations. In 1983, he created Delphi Systems, a human resource technology company, in an effort to take advantage of the insights gained from working with global organizations such as Pepsi, GE, and RJR Nabisco. In 2008, Wayne launched WingSpread as the latest evolution of technology developed from the experiences gained through his work in Delphi, and in doing so, has begun to fulfill his goal of changing the world.
Wayne is quite an accomplished skydiver having jumped out of numerous aircraft for the 82nd Airborne, 11th Airborne, and 10th Special Forces. He is also widely published in academia and the corporate world through his works on organizational behavior, political science, history, medicine, and computing. He has been interviewed by the BBC for its TV special commemorating the anniversary of the Hiroshima bombing because of his original research on the Japanese attempt to build an atomic bomb during World War II.
Wayne married far above himself to his wife Judith who runs the University of Kansas Medical Center International Program. He is also the proud father of two grown daughters who have used their skills to great success. Wayne’s primary hobby is the restoration of the Armour Farmhouse, Kansas City’s oldest and most historic private dwelling. But, as anyone who has ever bought an old house knows, the tension between owning the home and being owned by it is humbling.
